How fast do I find out about a move?

Alerts are evaluated server-side against our price pipeline as new data lands, and go out the moment a condition is met — nothing runs on your machine and there is no tab to keep open. How quick that is depends on how often the venue itself publishes a new price, which is why we don't quote a second-by-second guarantee: the honest answer varies by item and venue, and inventing a number would be worse than saying so.

What exactly can I set an alert on?

Four conditions, per item: price above a level, price below a level, a 24-hour percentage move, or traded volume running above a multiple of its own average. Each alert then gets its own cooldown, daily trigger cap, quiet hours and minimum-change floor, so you tune the noise rather than muting the whole thing.

Which channels can deliver an alert?

Telegram (a bot direct message) and email are on the free tier. Paid plans add Discord — either a bot DM after a one-click link, or a webhook into a channel — and raw webhooks to any URL you control. Several channels can carry the same alert.

How many alerts do I get for free?

Five active alerts, with no restriction on which trigger types you use and no card required. Paid plans lift that to unlimited and add the Discord and webhook channels — the table above has the current prices, all tax inclusive.

Does it tell me what a skin will be worth?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Outplayed watches the levels you set and scores items as buy / hold / sell with a confidence score. There is no predicted price and no predicted percentage: a number like that looks authoritative and means nothing.

Do I have to hand over my Steam API key?

No. Sign-in uses Steam's official OpenID — we never see your password or 2FA, never ask for an API key, and only read your public profile and inventory. We cannot move, list or sell anything you own. The technical detail is on our security page.

What actually fires an alert

Four conditions, set per item. You pick the number; we watch it so you don't have to keep a tab open.

Fires the first time the item trades above the level you set, and the message carries the price that broke it — not a vague 'something moved'.

Momentum

Fires when the move over the last 24 hours crosses the percentage you set. Useful when you care about the size of a move rather than one specific price.

Volume spike

Flow

Fires when traded volume runs above a multiple of its own average. Volume often shifts before price does, and that is the part most people find out about last.

The controls that stop it becoming spam

An alert you mute is worse than no alert at all. Every alert gets its own noise budget.

Cooldown

Silence the same alert for anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours after it fires, so one choppy afternoon doesn't produce forty messages.

Daily cap

Cap an alert at 1, 3, 5 or 10 triggers a day — or leave it uncapped on the item you are actively working.

Quiet hours

A window where nothing is delivered. The 03:14 spike still gets recorded; it just doesn't wake you up for it.

Minimum move

A floor under the change that counts, so an item flickering around your threshold doesn't re-fire on every wobble.

An alert is only fast if it reaches you where you already are. Run one channel, or all of them at once.

Sign in with Steam and add the skins you genuinely trade. Your inventory imports on its own, so the items you already hold are there without typing anything in.

Not 'tell me about this skin' — a level you would actually buy or sell at. A threshold you wouldn't act on is just a notification with extra steps.
