The strip itself carries a “Powered by outplayed.me” link. The snippet adds a second, visible credit line underneath it — that one lives in your page rather than inside the frame, which is what makes it count as a link to us.

What the ticker shows
Where the prices come from
Listings we sync from three marketplaces — Skinport, CSFloat and DMarket — reduced to the cheapest place to buy each item. Steam Market prices are not part of this widget.
How fresh it is
We re-sync marketplace listings roughly every hour and recompute the cross-market comparison behind the ticker a few times a day. The strip displays the age of the comparison it is showing, so your readers can judge it for themselves. It is not a real-time feed and does not pretend to be one.
Currency
Every price is shown in USD, the currency the comparison is computed in. The widget converts nothing, so there is no exchange rate to go stale.
Two modes
“Prices” lists the most-traded items in the comparison set next to their cheapest listing. “Cross-market deals” lists the widest spreads between buying on one marketplace and selling on another, after that marketplace's fees.

Options
Each option is a query parameter on the iframe URL, so you can also hand-edit the snippet after copying it.

Unknown or out-of-range values fall back to the default instead of erroring, so a typo still leaves you with a working widget.
Terms
- Free on any site, personal or commercial. No account, no API key, no quota to apply for.
- Keep the attribution. The snippet ships with a visible credit line linking to outplayed.me from your page's own HTML. Leave it in place, keep it readable, and don't mark it nofollow — that link is what the widget costs.
- Don't misrepresent the data. Don't relabel it as Steam pricing, as real-time, or as your own.
- We may change or retire the widget. We will keep the URL contract working as long as we reasonably can; if the endpoint ever stops answering, the frame renders a short notice — it cannot break the rest of your page.
